indoors is my territory ...
... said andrey in a postmatch text after beating John 7-6,6-3,6-0. Andrey is back to #2.

HI boban, I only played 1 set on Sunday against the road runner Martin Morris. We tied at 6-6 when the Courts was needed for a Windsor vets match.

Well, what can I say....as Andrey reported "indooors is his territory".
I knew I had a challenge on my hands when our polar friend arrived on court resplendant in new Federation Blue tennis outfit a la Safin! Despite this blatant show of gamesmanship it took nearly an hour to lose the first set in a narrowly contested tie-break - 6:7. The second score of 3:6 did not do justice to another closely fought encounter but by the third set I tried a different approach (which clearly did not work) and gave up at 0:6....buggered, but thankful for the ice cold XXXX Andrey shouted after 9:00pm. All hail the Czar!
Boban - time now to maintain your supremacy and beat him on his own surface before the weekend (Better still he is apparently up north again Thursday so suggest wait until the return)
Apologies for the candid camera shots of those that have been captured in action on our Blog ...especially to Steve L-J who looks like he is about to swallow his serve. The other Steve looks very compelling...too bad he never gets to read all this rubbish!
Lets hope we get a good turn out on the 24th...it should be fun.
John
