Babolat

With a slightly firmer flex (thanks to the Aerodynamic shaped shaft and throat), the AeroPro Control offers a crisper response and just a tad more pop compared to the Pure Control. We still found excellent control with this one, while also finding a little extra ball speed off the stringbed. Aggressive players will love the precision and spin they'll find from all areas of the court. At net the AeroPro Control feels maneuverable and offers plenty of feedback for touch and placement volleys.

The AeroPro Control+ is a solid player's racquet offering excellent access to spin, control and some useful pop. At 12 ounces strung and with a 345 swingweight, the AeroPro Control+ is a very stable racquet, well suited to heavy hitting. Stronger players will find a solid feel, some nice ball speed off the stringbed and plenty of control. At net the AeroPro Control+ remains stable and solid, offering good feel and touch for finesse volleys.

Offering plenty of power, comfort and maneuverability, the Aero 112 packs maximum performance for the 3.0 to 4.0 level player. We found a forgiving and powerful response from the oversize head. The stringbed offers plenty of bite on the ball, allowing easy access to spin. The powerful response will find appeal among players with slow swing speeds who want maneuverability and power from their racquet. Comfort at contact is enhanced by Babolat's Smart Grip and Cortex technologies.

The extended length of the AeroPro Drive+ (27.5") makes it a more powerful offering compared to its standard length brother. Players with fast swings will also find this one slightly more spin friendly. Our advanced level players found heavy topspin and slice easy to generate both off the ground and on serve. At net, the AeroPro Drive+ feels very maneuverable for an extended length racquet, thanks in part to its light 11.2 ounce strung weight.

The Babolat Aero Blast features Babolat's new Smart Grip technology. The grip is contoured to fit the shape of the hand. Babolat claims that this places the entire hand in contact with the racquet for more power with less effort, more control with less racquet twisting and more comfort due to the way the grip fits the natural shape of the hand. While the handle shape feels very different on the first pick-up, we quickly found the shape comfortable and natural feeling during play.

Combining the AeroPro beam design in the throat and the and Pure Storm beam design in the hoop, Babolat have captured the best performance properties of both designs in the Aero Storm. The result is a level of control and feel of a player's racquet combined with excellent maneuverability. From the baseline this racquet offers a solid feel at contact. Our TW playtesters found the racquet to plough-through the contact zone, resulting in a stable and comfortable hit.

Offering excellent access to spin and some useful pop from all areas of the court, this popular player's racquet just got better with the addition of Babolat's Cortex System. Placed just above the handle in the shaft of the racquet the Cortex System eliminates harmful vibrations, without eliminating any feel for touch play. The extended length of the AeroPro Drive Cortex+ (27.5") makes it a more powerful offering compared to its standard length brother. Players with fast swings will also find this one slightly more spin friendly.

The Pure Drive Oversize gets updated with Babolat's Cortex comfort technology. Offering the same, excellent access to spin, pace and maneuverability, this version also offers a more solid feel at impact compared to the original. Babolat's Cortex system does a good job of filtering racquet shock and vibrations while still leaving enough racquet feedback to allow the player to feel the ball. This version also places a bit more weight behind the ball, making for more stable hitting. From the baseline, players will enjoy plenty of power and spin.

Beginning players seeking a power and maneuverable racquet need look no further than the Babolat Drive Z 118. The Super Oversize head ensures there??™s plenty of power behind every shot. A large sweetspot makes finding depth a snap, even off a short and abbreviated swing. Faster swings allow easy access to spin. The overall response from the racquet is comfortable from all areas of the court. Comfort at contact is enhanced by Babolat's Smart Grip and Cortex technologies.

This update to the Babolat Pure Drive Team Oversize offers increased comfort thanks to Babolat's Cortex technology and more control thanks to some added weight and a smaller headsize. This latest version plays more like a control oriented 'tweener racquet, whereas the original Pure Drive Oversize was more power oriented. The Cortex system, located just above the handle, is designed to reduce harmful racquet vibrations without filtering out the feedback required for feel.
