Mark's Dubai quarter final selections

By Mark Skendaris

Marin Cilic (CRO) v Jurgen Melzer (AUT) - These two players have had a great week, both not conceding a set. The Croat doesn't look like losing at the moment and will win again. Melzer has done well to get this far but Cilic's consistency will get the better of him. Cilic in straight sets.

Janko Tipsarevic (SRB) v Mikhail Youzhny (RUS) - The Serb played well to beat Murray, but the Scot was well below his best. Youzhny likes playing in Dubai and he should win this match. Look for a let down from Tipsarevic after his big high from yesterday. The Russian to move into the last four.

Ivan Ljubicic (CRO) v Novak Djokovic (SRB) - The defending champ has dug deep in his matches this week and this is a good opponent for him. The veteran Croat will stay with Djokovic early but he Serb will wear him down from the baseline and win the majority of the rallies. The Croat will be happy with his performances in Dubai, but the top seed can see another title within his grasp.

Marcos Baghdatis (CYP) v Michael Berrer (GER) - Im tipping Baghdatis comfortably here. Berrer has had good results in 2010 but the Cypriot should be able to dictate from the back and attack the German's weaker backhand. The Bag Man in two sets.
