Former world number ones Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters of Belgium will provide some early headaches for top seeds at the WTA Indian Wells tournament which begins Wednesday.
The 4.5 million-dollar event, played in conjunction with an ATP event that starts Thursday, also could see a potential third-round rematch of last year's final between defending champion Vera Zvonareva and 24th seed Ana Ivanovic.

Justine Henin has avoided drawing one of the top names in the early rounds as she prepares to play the third event of her comeback at Indian Wells
Henin, who is unseeded because she has not yet played enough tournaments to earn a ranking, would not meet a top four player until Elena Dementieva in the quarterfinals. The Belgian will begin against Magdalena Rybarikova, and also has Agnieszka Radwanska and Marion Bartoli in her section of the draw. Maria Sharapova or Caroline Wozniacki could await in the semifinals.

For all her glitz and her gobs of money, Maria Sharapova is a rink rat – or whatever is the tennis equivalent of that hockey term.
After major rotator cuff surgery in October, 2008, she worked diligently to get back on tour – for several months taking a weekly Monday flight from Los Angeles to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she did her rehab, before returning home on Fridays.

Maria Sharapova got back on the winning track Saturday night in Memphis, capturing her first Sony Ericsson WTA Tour title of the year - and the 21st of her career - at the Cellular South Cup.
Seeded No.1 at the International-level tournament, Sharapova was considered the favorite in the field from the beginning, and boy did she deliver, not dropping a set the entire way. In fact, the Russian lost just 21 games in 10 sets - her 62 61 win over Sofia Arvidsson in the final was one of her quickest of the week.
