World No. 2 Novak Djokovic gets proceedings underway for Serbia as the hosts bid to reach the final of Davis Cup by BNP Paribas for the first time.

Djokovic, who comes into this weekend on the back of a runner-up performance at the US Open, will face the Czech Republic's Radek Stepanek in the opening singles rubber on Friday.

Janko Tipsarevic has been chosen to play in the second singles rubber in favour of Viktor Troicki. Tipsarevic upset the odds at the US Open by beating home favourite Andy Roddick in the second round at Flushing Meadows.

He will be hoping to replicate his US Open form if he is to cause another upset against world No. 7 Tomas Berdych in the second singles rubber.

In the doubles, Troicki and Nenad Zimonjic will team up against Jan Hajek and Ivo Minar.

The full draw is as follows:

Friday
Novak Djokovic (SRB) v Radek Stepanek (CZE)
Janko Tipsarevic (SRB) v Tomas Berdych (CZE)

Saturday
Viktor Troicki / Nenad Zimonjic (SRB) v Jan Hajek / Ivo Minar (CZE)

Sunday
Novak Djokovic (SRB) v Tomas Berdych (CZE)
Janko Tipsarevic (SRB) v Radek Stepanek (CZE)
