Dokic to contest Open qualifiers
Formerworld No.4 Jelena Dokic has accepted a wildcard into the Australian Open women's qualifying competition starting Thursday.
Dokic, 24, had been in doubt after retiring midway through her second round match against Italy's Flavia Pennetta at the Hobart International with a sprained ankle.
Dokic had been playing her fifth match in as many days after a long lay-off.
She will have to win three qualifying matches at Melbourne Park to advance to the main draw for only the second time since 2001.
Fellow Australians Karolina Wlodarczak, Isabella Holland, Sally Peers and Alison Bai have also entered the women's qualifying competition.

jelena dokic is back. perhaps she can win wimbledon 2011. there is something about Jelena so endearing, so lovable. hope she goes far.
