Third round play concludes Tuesday at the BNP Paribas Open with World No. 1 and three-time champion Roger Federer, World No. 4 and last year’s finalist Andy Murray and No. 7 seed Andy Roddick on Stadium 1. In addition, No. 6 seed Robin Soderling and No. 9 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga highlight Stadium 2 action. In the opening match, Murray takes on American Michael Russell for the first time. Murray is trying to reach the fourth round or better here for the fourth straight year. In the second match, Roddick meets 21-year-old Dutchman Thiemo de Bakker for the second time this season. In January, the top American prevailed in straight sets in the first round at the Australian Open. In the evening match, Federer brings a 6-0 lifetime mark against No. 27 seed Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus. Here is a look at Tuesday’s third round match-ups:
