Justine Henin back in action
20 months ago Justine Henin shocked the world after spending months contemplating her life's direction and commitment to leave the sport she had grown to love since she was a little girl. The emotional roller coaster she was on was bound to come to an end. She was facing her toughest opponent in what became the strongest match she will ever play, and that person was Justine Henin. She reached her dreams becoming number 1 in the world, won Grand Slams, connected with so many fans traveling the world and made a ton of money. Why did she leave the game. Only Justine has the answer.
For 12 months Justine states that she never watched a set of tennis. Anyone who works 70-80 hours a week eating, sleeping and drinking to be the best in your field can relate to Justine. How awesome would it be to take a year long break from your career,not having to think about your job focusing all your energy and attention on all the other things in life you wanted to do but never had the time. Justine was able to do just that. How great would it be to then come back to your career after an emotional and physical vacation. Justine Henin is coming back to her love for the game, her love for competition and above all a stronger love for herself. She is more relaxed today than ever before.
Justine has lived the majority of her life with intense dedication and professional commitment imagine how relaxed and emotionally fit Justine is after the 20 month break to take on the WTA and be a contender. For Justine at a recent news conference in Brisbane, Justine did state that a second Australian Open win was possible at next months Australian Open. Kim Clijsters surprised millions after making a comeback from retiring having a child winning the US open this year. What an incredible story that was.
As the 2010 season begins next week in Brisbane Australia with the Brisbane International, the wta season is shaping up to be one of the best competitve tennis seasons the womens professional sport has seen in years. Kim Clijsters is coming off a huge high of winning the US Open and enjoying tennis life again. Maria Sharapova has been working extremely hard to get back in the top where she feels she belongs. Ana Ivanovic has the comittment and has deicated her off season to getting back into shpae after a season with injuries like Sharapova. Serena Williams is back on top of the WTA rankings as the worlds number 1.
