Maria Sharapova signs deal with HEAD tennis racquets

Maria Sharapova and HEAD tennis racquets have announced a multi-year endorsement deal . The stylish, 23-year old, Russian star will join the "HEAD Racquet Rebels" marketing team that includes: Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Robin Soderling. Sharapova previously endorsed Prince tennis rackets.

Despite her recent struggles on the court, Sharapova's still a major endorser and fashion icon. She appeared in Sports Illustrated's popular Swimsuit Issue. She's engaged to New Jersey Nets guard Sasha Vujacic.

The former world's No. 1 said in a statement she's confident her new racquets will help her "regain a a spot among the Top 10 again soon."
