Sorana Cirstea upset Jelena Jankovic in February's Fed Cup tie and now the 18-year-old Romanian has rejoined Jankovic on Octagon's roster.

Octagon announced the re-signing of Cirstea to a representation agreement. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Currently ranked No. 98, Cirstea has reached a career-high WTA ranking of 73 and is regarded as one of the game's most talented young players.

Playing her first full year on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, the Bucharest native upset the then third-ranked Jankovic, 6-3,  3-6,  6-4 in Romania's 2-1 loss to Serbia in February's Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group 1 round-robin tie that gained international attention when former Romanian standout Ilie Nastase unleashed a vocal outburst against the officiating.

Cirstea is one of three Romanian women ranked inside the top 100 — Edina Gallovits and Iona Raluca Olaru are the others — and may have the biggest upside of the trio.

A year ago, the then 325th-ranked Cirstea signaled her status as a future top 100 player when played through qualifying and won seven straight matches to reach the Tier III Budapest final before bowing to sixth-seeded Gisela Dulko, 6-7(2), 6-2, 6-2.

Playing primarily at the Challenger level, Cirstea posted a 48-20 record last season. She partnered American Alexa Glatch to reach the Roland Garros junior doubles final.
