Rafa, Roger, Nole Rank Highly In Bloomberg Power 100 List
Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic all feature in the Top 10 of the Bloomberg Businessweek/Horrow Sports Ventures Power 100 rankings.
The rankings evaluate about 600 of the best-performing athletes from a pool of 3,000 based on statistics, the popularity and viewing audience of their sports, endorsement earnings, and their reach on social media. Nielsen/E-Poll N-Score data, based on surveys that evaluate such factors as players’ name and face awareness, appeal, influence, and trustworthiness, were also included to measure athletes’ endorsement potential.
Nadal ranks No. 5 on the list, with Bloomberg writing "He’s still young, good-looking, and beloved by marketers, with much more to come.
Of Federer, who ranks at No. 6, Bloomberg states, "Now ranked third in the world, Roger Federer may be entering the twilight of his career. He remains a force... He’s recognisable and forever branded as a winner, with 16 Grand Slam titles to his name."
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic weighs in at No. 9 on the list. "The top newcomer on the Power 100 this year, Novak Djokovic, is the upstart youngster who claimed the top spot in the world tennis rankings after seven years of either Federer or Nadal in the lead."
