Stefan Edberg
Nadal wins 1st ATP sportsmanship award

Top-ranked Rafael Nadal has won the ATP tour’s Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for the first time, ending Roger Federer’s streak of six in a row.
Nadal earned the award, which is voted on by tour players, after winning three Grand Slam tournaments in 2010. He has locked up the year-end No. 1 ranking ahead of the season-ending ATP World Tour finals, which start Sunday in London.
Return Of The Net Men

The obituary for serve-and-volley tennis has been written again and again in recent years, but last night two of the form's most proficient performers staged a revival at London's Royal Albert Hall. Former practice partners Stefan Edberg and Tim Henman faced off in front of a capacity crowd with Henman prevailing 8-4 in a pro set charity match at the BlackRock Masters Tennis. The match raised money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Charity return for Henman

Retired former British number one Tim Henman will play two-time Wimbledon champion Stefan Edberg in a charity match at London's Royal Albert Hall in December.
The pair will face each other in an exhibition match during the BlackRock Masters to raise money for the Kids at Heart Charity.
It will be Henman's first match since he retired from the professional circuit following Great Britain's Davis Cup victory over Croatia at Wimbledon last month.
Stefan Bengt Edberg (born January 19, 1966 in Västervik, Sweden) is a former World No. 1 professional tennis player (in both singles and doubles play) from Sweden. During his career, he won six Grand Slam singles titles and three Grand Slam doubles titles. Edberg is well known as one of the best serve and volley players of all time, for his superb volleying skills, and as a gentleman and ambassador for the sport.
